Effect of Dust Storm Intensity Variations on Total Path Attenuation Prediction

چکیده
This paper proposes a novel dust-storm total path attenuation prediction model. model is formulated as function of specific (dB/km) and the effective distance, which considers non-uniform dust storm intensity variations throughout link. The distance obtained combination link reduction factor. factor developed based on modeled 2-D structure observed characteristics. A measurement campaign atmospheric characteristics, their properties, effects several microwave links operated in Khartoum-Sudan was conducted. In an earlier report, empirical proposed short-distance by assuming uniform variations. However, it that varies with affects attenuation, this issue not addressed yet. One year 6.2 km 7.6 long operating at 21.2 GHz 14.5 are used to validate

Effect of Simulated Dust Storm on some Bio-chemical features of Persian Oak (Quercus brantii Lindl.)
Extended abstract 1- Introduction Dust storm is a hazardous natural event affecting all creatures. (1). Due to the global warming drought, reduction in precipitation, and mismanagement in the water by humankind, the negative effects of this calamity were more observed (2). With increasing the wind speed, and based on the size of dust particles, land topography, soil humidity, vegetation cover...
متن کاملImpact of Dust storm on Agricultural Production in Iran
One of the environmental concerns during the past decade is dust pollutant. This phenomenon is extensively known around the globe. In Iran, this destructive phenomenon has created serious problems among environmental policy-makers in general and agricultural producers in specific. Kermanshah Province is located near Iraq, a neighboring country in west part of Iran. It is believed that Iraq is m...
متن کاملThe effect of simulated dust storm on wood development and leaf stomata in Quercus brantii L
Dust storms are increasingly threatening the forest ecosystem in Western Iran. Due to its coverage of vast area of Zagros forest, the Quercus brantii is at the front line of the attack. Most tree deaths in this forest are from this species. This study aims to investigate the effect of simulated dust on wood development and leaf stomata from seedlings of Persian oak. The oak seedlings were...
متن کاملMonitoring of Dust Storm in the Midwest of Iran Case Study: Dust Storm June 16-19, 2015
This research was conducted to identify the dust storms in the Midwest of Iran from June 16 to 19, 2015. To investigate the synoptic conditions of the causes of this phenomenon, the ECMWF has an array of 0.125 degrees, including geopotential, omega, and sea level pressure, orbital and meridian components of the wind, specific humidity Soil moisture was applied to a depth of 10 cm. Similarly, fo...
